My tip for choosing deposit method
I always check the minimum withdrawal amount before I make a deposit. Sometimes the minimum withdrawal is 2x higher than the minimum deposit.
E.g.
Minimum deposit = ₹500
Minimum withdrawal = ₹1,000
If I plan on making a withdrawal, I probably want to deposit close to the minimum withdrawal amount (₹1,000 in the example above).
Welcome bonus comparison in India
Here are our favourite sign-up bonuses in India in one tight table, so you get an overview.
Many of the words used in sports betting and for welcome bonuses can be confusing at first.
Here are the key terms you'll see when claiming a welcome bonus.
General terms for bonuses
Promotions / Bonuses
Promotions and bonuses are basically the same thing.
You deposit or spend money, and you get something extra from the gambling site.
Welcome bonus
Also called sign-up bonus, promo code bonus or first-deposit bonus.
It's the bonus you get when you register and make your first deposit.
They can also refer to a welcome pack. This is a deposit bonus spread out over your first two, three or four deposits.
Cashback
Some promotions give you cash directly into your account.
You spend cash by betting, then you get cashback from the betting site.
Free bet
A bet you can place without using your own money. Given to you as a promotion/bonus.
If it wins, you keep the winnings (not the stake/initial bet amount). If it loses, you lose nothing.
The conditions
Deposit match / Match %
The betting site matches your deposit with bonus funds.
A 100% match: If you deposit ₹12,000 you get ₹12,000 extra, a total of ₹24,000 in your account. A 130% match: If you deposit ₹12,000 you get ₹15,600 extra, a total of ₹27,600 in your account.
Wagering requirement
The total amount you must bet before you can withdraw bonus winnings.
Usually expressed as a multiplier — for example, 5× the bonus.
A ₹10,000 bonus at 5× means you have to place ₹50,000 in qualifying bets.
Minimum odds
The lowest odds a bet must have to count toward the wagering requirement.
Usually 1.40. You can still bet at lower odds, but it won't count toward the requirement.
Expiry time / Validity
How long you have to meet the wagering requirement. Usually 30 days for sports, sometimes 7 or 15 days. Usually 7 days for casino.
After the expiry, unused bonus funds are lost.
Betting terms
Market
The thing you're betting on.
Common markets include match winner, total runs, and top batsman. One match has many markets to bet on.
Example: "India to win against Australia" is a market.
Selection
A specific market that you pick for your bet. There are many markets for each match; the ones you choose are your selections.
Example: "India to win against Australia" is a market that can be your selection.
Accumulator / Combo
A bet that combines multiple selections (markets) into one bet. All selections must win for the bet to win.
Sometimes called "acca". To work out the total odds, you multiply each selection's odds together. For example, 1.4 × 1.4 * 1.4 = 2,744 total odds.
Example: "India to win against Australia" and "Over 320 total runs" is an accumulator with two selections. If both win, you win.
